From the moment I entered Kyle Pace's website, I was impressed by how busy and professional it seemed. Many of the teacher blogs I've seen are so focused on their own classroom and career, they don't connect as much as they could with outside resources, or even talk directly to their audience. Kyle, however, has a clearly-organized website with plenty of links and visuals to supplement his own work and commentary. Even his biography is clean and simple, yet detailed, telling us everything we need to know about his career and expertise as an educator. Overall, the layout is very easy to navigate and I can find anything I need almost immediately.
One of my favorite features of this blog is that it is designed to help other teachers and get them involved, through Kyle's presentations, social media, or simply through his occasional posts. His focus is educational technology, and he proves his abilities by connecting and communicating with parents, teachers, and students through his website. He even includes his own personal calendar, to better fit others into his busy schedule. For those who wish to know more, he includes several presentations he has collaborated on and wishes to share with educators around the world. Their focus seems to be very well-known websites such as Google and YouTube, and how teachers specifically can benefit from these enormous resources without being distracted by the wide variety of options and features.
Most usefully, Kyle has an entire page on his website, titled Resources, devoted to sharing useful information with fellow educators. It includes numerous ways to contact not only the author but other outstanding teachers as well, creating a network of invaluable experience and expertise. Notably, this particular page was designed through Google, which is a common topic of Kyle's presentations. Tabs along the top help visitors to navigate through the collection of presentations and tutorials he has compiled over time, reducing a complicated process to a simple, fun learning experience. I admire how devoted Kyle is to learning and progressing as a teacher, and sharing his knowledge with others who might not have the same opportunities he does.
